Welcome to AFR Smart Investor's Masterclass for Financial Planning - opening 9am Monday October 1
The Masterclass for Financial Planning is a test of your technical knowledge as a financial planner and your ability to apply your expertise to common scenarios.
The areas of knowledge tested in the exam include financial structures, tax, superannuation (including self managed super funds) asset allocation, social security, and investment strategies.
You are eligible to do the exam if you are a CFP member of the FPA or a financial planning specialist member of CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Those who score in the top 50 will have their names and contact details published in AFR Smart Investor. They will also be reviewed for inclusion in the BT Financial Group's list of recommended financial planners.
The exam is a test of your knowledge as an individual. Group efforts will be disqualified.
You must complete the exam within 60 minutes of logging on with your password.
You can use reference books and your calculator to complete the exam. A copy of the Money Guide page in AFR Smart Investor should come in handy for many of the questions.
